Our mission<\/h2>\n<p>Connecting Belgian homeowners with construction and home-service professionals, <strong>with no middlemen and no commission<\/strong>. Every job arranged through ProMastro stays <strong>100%<\/strong> between you and your tradesperson \u2014 no hidden margin, no bidding wars on leads, no reselling of your request to several competing providers, no commercial filtering of the results.<\/p>\n\n<h2>3. Why this project?<\/h2>\n<p>The observation is simple: in Belgium, finding a tradesperson who is reliable, reachable, responsive and invoices properly is still a struggle. Existing directories take commissions of up to 15-20% on leads, or bury the good pros in opaque sponsored listings. Social networks verify neither VAT numbers, nor ten-year liability insurance, nor the quality of the work, and expose homeowners to all kinds of abuse. International aggregators ignore Belgian specificities: 41 construction trades, 2,700+ municipalities, three official languages, B2B PEPPOL invoicing obligations since 2026, specific certifications (RGIE, Certibeau, SECT, regional accreditation).<\/p>\n<p>ProMastro was designed to fill this gap with an approach that is <strong>local, transparent and technically lean<\/strong>. Every technical and editorial decision is made against a single criterion: <em>&#8220;does this concretely improve the connection between a homeowner and a Belgian tradesperson?&#8221;<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n<h2>4. What we care about<\/h2>\n\n<h3>4.1 Verified quality<\/h3>\n<p>Every registered professional is checked according to a documented protocol:<\/p>\n<p><strong>VAT number validated in real time<\/strong> against the European Commission&#8217;s VIES system (electronic exchange of VAT data);<br>\n<strong>CBE company number verified<\/strong> via the Belgian Crossroads Bank for Enterprises (active status, matching business sector);<br>\n<strong>Listing moderated before publication<\/strong> by our team (consistency of the information, photo quality, compliance of the description);<br>\n<strong>Reviews filtered by artificial intelligence<\/strong> (Anthropic&#8217;s Claude model) then checked afterwards \u2014 detection of spam, insults, off-topic content and fraudulently incentivised reviews;<br>\n<strong>Declared legal obligations<\/strong> highlighted: ten-year liability insurance (Peeters-Borsus Act of 31\/05\/2017 for the 66 trades concerned), RGIE accreditations for electricians, Certibeau for energy certifiers, SECT, regional accreditation for certain activities.<\/p>\n<p>See our <a href=\"https:\/\/promastro.be\/en\/quality-charter\/\">quality charter<\/a> and our <a href=\"https:\/\/promastro.be\/en\/moderation-charter\/\">moderation charter<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<h3>4.2 0% commission<\/h3>\n<p>You find a plumber on ProMastro? You pay them directly. <strong>No percentage<\/strong> is taken from the job, <strong>no hidden margin<\/strong> is added to the invoice, <strong>no finder&#8217;s fee<\/strong> is passed on to the quote. The professional receives <strong>100% of what you pay<\/strong>, and you keep <strong>100% of the control<\/strong> over the negotiation, the choice and the price.<\/p>\n<p>Our business model relies <em>exclusively<\/em> on monthly or annual professional subscriptions (see <a href=\"https:\/\/promastro.be\/en\/pricing\/\">pricing<\/a>). This transparency is part of our DNA: it rules out any logic of auctions, sponsored placement, or selling leads to several pros at the same time.<\/p>\n\n<h3>4.3 Local, for real<\/h3>\n<p>ProMastro is Belgian, hosted in the European Union (Contabo GmbH, Munich, Germany) and fully GDPR-compliant. Everything is designed for the Belgian context, not for a standardised global market:<\/p>\n<p><strong>2,700+ municipalities<\/strong> covered (official Statbel database, updated annually);<br>\n<strong>41 construction and service trades<\/strong> structured into 11 groups;<br>\n<strong>Belgian certifications<\/strong>: ten-year liability, RGIE, Certibeau, SECT, regional accreditation;<br>\n<strong>B2B electronic invoicing via PEPPOL<\/strong> in line with the obligation in force since 1 January 2026 (Royal Decree of 4 February 2023);<br>\n<strong>Belgian VAT of 21%<\/strong> applied automatically;<br>\n<strong>Belgian mediation<\/strong>: Consumer Mediation Service, in accordance with Articles XVI.1 et seq. of the Code of Economic Law.<\/p>\n\n<h3>4.4 Three languages, automatically<\/h3>\n<p>The Site is fully available in <strong>French<\/strong>, <strong>Dutch<\/strong> and <strong>English<\/strong>. The automatic translation of professional listings (based on Anthropic&#8217;s Claude model) lets Walloon pros reach Flanders, and vice versa, with no extra editorial effort. Each page is served in the visitor&#8217;s preferred language via WPML, with the appropriate <code>hreflang<\/code> tags for multilingual SEO. Reviews and messages can be written in each user&#8217;s language, with automatic translation available on request.<\/p>\n\n<h3>4.5 Lean technology<\/h3>\n<p><strong>No intrusive pop-ups<\/strong>, no advertising cookies, no selling of data, no Facebook pixel or Google Ads, no fingerprinting, no behavioural profiling. All features \u2014 search engine, moderation, billing, PEPPOL invoicing, multilingual support, design system \u2014 are developed <strong>in-house<\/strong> to guarantee technical mastery, legal compliance and alignment with the needs of the Belgian market.<\/p>\n\n<h2>6.
