Towards private individuals

• Verified professionals — every listed professional provides a Belgian VAT number checked via VIES (European Commission) before their listing is published.
• 0% commission — ProMastro takes nothing from the jobs. You deal directly, you pay directly.
• Moderated reviews — an AI anti-spam and anti-abuse filter is applied, supplemented by a human check in case of doubt. Detected fake reviews are removed.
• No advertising, no disguised advertising — no paid rankings, no advertising banners, no advertising pixels. The only paid advantage for a professional is the “Elite” badge of the Max plan, clearly identified as such.
• My data remains mine — no resale of data, EU hosting, GDPR built in (see the privacy policy).

Towards professionals

• Price transparency — all plans are published on the pricing page, with no hidden fees.
• A genuinely free trial — 30 days or 4 months depending on the plan, cancel anytime, no charge during the trial. Details.
• No forced competition — no job auctions, no cost per lead, no reverse marketplace.
• You remain in control of your listing — you edit what you want when you want, you cancel in one click, you take your data with you (GDPR export).
• Compliant invoicing — PEPPOL invoice for Belgian VAT numbers, B2B compliance 2026 planned.

Towards reviews

• Reviews posted by registered users — only a user with a (free) ProMastro account and a verified email address can publish a review. Some reviews may be supported by a documented relationship or service (prior exchange of messages, time-stamped contact). In accordance with Article VI.45/1 of the Belgian Code of Economic Law and in the interest of fairness, ProMastro does not claim to individually verify each review and therefore does not use the label “verified review” without documented proof.
• AI + human moderation — an AI filter detects spam, insults, off-topic or manifestly unlawful content; a human moderator can be brought in in case of doubt or following a report. Manifestly fake reviews (behavioural anomalies, copy-pasted text, chain submissions) are removed.
• Professional’s right of reply — the professional concerned can publish a public reply under each review. No review can be arbitrarily deleted by the professional; they can, however, report it.
• Reporting & appeals — every review and every listing can be reported via a dedicated button. Reports are handled within 7 working days. Any decision to reject or remove content is notified and may be subject to a human re-examination (see the moderation charter and report content).
• No paid or sponsored reviews — soliciting reviews in exchange for payment, a gift, a discount or any other advantage is strictly prohibited (Terms of Use art. 6). Self-reviews, fabricated fake reviews, identity theft or fraudulent review campaigns result in the removal of the content and the suspension of the account.

Towards data

• VAT number — stored only as a SHA256 hash, never in plain text.
• KYC data (identity document, if verified) — encrypted with AES-256, access restricted to the single authorised moderator, deleted 5 years after the end of the relationship (anti-money-laundering obligation).
• Passwords — hashed with bcrypt, never visible or retrievable by the ProMastro team.
• Administrator authentication — 2FA mandatory for anyone with access to the back office.
• Daily backups — data can be restored in the event of an incident.

Towards artificial intelligence

AI is used solely to improve the experience, never to sell, profile or circumvent transparency:

• Automatic moderation of reviews (spam/abuse filter);
• Smart search (understanding natural-language queries);
• Help with writing the professional’s description (at their explicit request, never without their consent);
• Automatic FR/NL/EN translation.

Model used: Claude (Anthropic, USA). No data is used to train the model (specific clauses in the contract with Anthropic). Transfers outside the EU are governed by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

Our limits

ProMastro is a directory, not a certifier of competence. The verification of the VAT number and any identity verification do not guarantee the technical quality of the services. We encourage you to always:

• Consult several professionals before choosing;
• Ask for a written quote;
• Check the mandatory insurance policies (ten-year liability for construction work);
• Read the reviews and the professionals’ replies.
