2. Our mission
Connecting Belgian homeowners with construction and home-service professionals, with no middlemen and no commission. Every job arranged through ProMastro stays 100% between you and your tradesperson — no hidden margin, no bidding wars on leads, no reselling of your request to several competing providers, no commercial filtering of the results.
3. Why this project?
The observation is simple: in Belgium, finding a tradesperson who is reliable, reachable, responsive and invoices properly is still a struggle. Existing directories take commissions of up to 15-20% on leads, or bury the good pros in opaque sponsored listings. Social networks verify neither VAT numbers, nor ten-year liability insurance, nor the quality of the work, and expose homeowners to all kinds of abuse. International aggregators ignore Belgian specificities: 41 construction trades, 2,700+ municipalities, three official languages, B2B PEPPOL invoicing obligations since 2026, specific certifications (RGIE, Certibeau, SECT, regional accreditation).
ProMastro was designed to fill this gap with an approach that is local, transparent and technically lean. Every technical and editorial decision is made against a single criterion: “does this concretely improve the connection between a homeowner and a Belgian tradesperson?”.
4. What we care about
4.1 Verified quality
Every registered professional is checked according to a documented protocol:
VAT number validated in real time against the European Commission’s VIES system (electronic exchange of VAT data);
CBE company number verified via the Belgian Crossroads Bank for Enterprises (active status, matching business sector);
Listing moderated before publication by our team (consistency of the information, photo quality, compliance of the description);
Reviews filtered by artificial intelligence (Anthropic’s Claude model) then checked afterwards — detection of spam, insults, off-topic content and fraudulently incentivised reviews;
Declared legal obligations highlighted: ten-year liability insurance (Peeters-Borsus Act of 31/05/2017 for the 66 trades concerned), RGIE accreditations for electricians, Certibeau for energy certifiers, SECT, regional accreditation for certain activities.

4.2 0% commission
You find a plumber on ProMastro? You pay them directly. No percentage is taken from the job, no hidden margin is added to the invoice, no finder’s fee is passed on to the quote. The professional receives 100% of what you pay, and you keep 100% of the control over the negotiation, the choice and the price.
Our business model relies exclusively on monthly or annual professional subscriptions (see pricing). This transparency is part of our DNA: it rules out any logic of auctions, sponsored placement, or selling leads to several pros at the same time.
4.3 Local, for real
ProMastro is Belgian, hosted in the European Union (Contabo GmbH, Munich, Germany) and fully GDPR-compliant. Everything is designed for the Belgian context, not for a standardised global market:
2,700+ municipalities covered (official Statbel database, updated annually);
41 construction and service trades structured into 11 groups;
Belgian certifications: ten-year liability, RGIE, Certibeau, SECT, regional accreditation;
B2B electronic invoicing via PEPPOL in line with the obligation in force since 1 January 2026 (Royal Decree of 4 February 2023);
Belgian VAT of 21% applied automatically;
Belgian mediation: Consumer Mediation Service, in accordance with Articles XVI.1 et seq. of the Code of Economic Law.
4.4 Three languages, automatically
The Site is fully available in French, Dutch and English. The automatic translation of professional listings (based on Anthropic’s Claude model) lets Walloon pros reach Flanders, and vice versa, with no extra editorial effort. Each page is served in the visitor’s preferred language via WPML, with the appropriate hreflang tags for multilingual SEO. Reviews and messages can be written in each user’s language, with automatic translation available on request.
4.5 Lean technology
No intrusive pop-ups, no advertising cookies, no selling of data, no Facebook pixel or Google Ads, no fingerprinting, no behavioural profiling. Artificial intelligence (Anthropic’s Claude model) is used only where it brings clear value to the user:
1. Review moderation (automatic detection of spam, insults and illegal content);
2. Natural-language search across the directory (“urgent plumber Wavre” → categorised, geolocated results);
3. Suggested descriptions and tags to help Pros present their business;
4. Content translation FR ↔ NL ↔ EN.
The source code of the core plugin is maintained by a single developer (the founder), which guarantees architectural consistency, responsiveness and alignment with the real needs of Belgian users.
5. The team
ProMastro is published, developed and operated by Mr Dennys Pillitteri, a Belgian sole proprietorship registered with the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises under number 0877.004.615, located at Chaussée d’Alsemberg 854, 1420 Braine-l’Alleud, in business since 1 October 2024.
The project was born from the shared observation that Belgium lacked a truly local tradespeople directory, with no commissions and no auction logic on leads. All features — search engine, moderation, billing, PEPPOL invoicing, multilingual support, design system — are developed in-house to guarantee technical mastery, legal compliance and alignment with the needs of the Belgian market.
6. Our commitments
6.1 Commitments to users
Transparency: pricing displayed clearly, features detailed plan by plan, no hidden pricing, no “surprise premium” features, no options forced upon renewal.
Reversibility: your data can be exported at any time in a structured format (JSON), account deletion in a few clicks in accordance with Article 17 GDPR, no commercial lock-in.
Customer service: guaranteed response within 7 working days maximum, by email or phone, in French, Dutch or English. Internal target times are shorter (see contact page).
Continuous improvement: public roadmap for major new features, user requests taken into account, regular communication on improvements.
6.2 Ethical commitments
No selling of data, whether to commercial third parties, partners or advertising platforms;
No third-party advertising on the Site (no Google AdSense banners, no display ads, no sponsored native ads);
No advertising profiling, no behavioural segmentation, no user targeting;
Transparent moderation: criteria published in the moderation charter, appeal possible against any automatic moderation decision;
Open source: non-critical technical building blocks (icons, municipality library, utility scripts) are released under an open licence where relevant.
